APC Blasts Governor Makinde Over Alleged Presidential Ambition

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde for allegedly prioritizing his presidential ambition over the needs of his state.
The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, stated that Makinde’s lackluster performance as governor undermines his credibility and fails to address local issues.
Makinde had stated that the 2027 election would be a contest between the APC and Nigerians.
However, Morka described Makinde’s comments as “reckless” and “unbecoming” of a leader.
The growing conflict between the APC and PDP in Oyo State has intensified, with both parties exchanging blows over Makinde’s alleged presidential ambition.
The APC has urged Makinde to prioritize the needs of Oyo State over his personal ambitions. Morka emphasized that Nigeria’s democracy affords Makinde the liberty to pursue his political aspirations.
Engaging in reckless executive flippancy at the expense of his gubernatorial duties is a disservice to the people of Oyo State, according to the APC.
The APC’s accusations and Makinde’s silence have sparked a heated debate about the governor’s priorities and the future of Oyo State.
As the 2027 general elections draw closer, the APC is making efforts to reconcile its members and reclaim the governorship seat in Oyo State.
