Tinubu Visits Buhari Family, Attends Wedding in Kaduna

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday visited Kaduna State, where he paid a courtesy call on the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari and attended the wedding of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari’s son.
The President, who arrived from Abuja in the morning, was received by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna and a delegation of senior government officials.
His first stop was the private residence of former First Lady Aisha Buhari, where he offered condolences and reaffirmed his support for the family following the passing of former President Buhari earlier this year.
After the visit, Tinubu proceeded to attend the high-profile wedding of Nasirudeen Yari, son of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, and Safiyya Shehu Idris.
The event drew a large crowd of political heavyweights, including governors, ministers, senators, traditional rulers, and business leaders.
The Kaduna outing underscored the blend of politics and social obligations that often define Nigeria’s leadership circle.
For Tinubu, the visit was not only an opportunity to honour his predecessor’s family but also to strengthen ties with political allies and regional stakeholders.
Observers note that such visits carry symbolic weight, highlighting continuity in governance and the importance of personal relationships in political life.
For the Buhari family, the President’s presence served as a gesture of solidarity at a time of bereavement.
Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja later the same day after completing the private and ceremonial engagements.
