Police Nab Impersonator, Car Thieves in Jigawa

Authorities of the Nigeria Police Force have apprehended an impersonator posing as a soldier along with three alleged car thieves in Jigawa State.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Shiisu Lawan Adam, confirmed the development in a communiqué released to the DAILY POST on Wednesday.
As detailed in the communiqué, the arrests occurred on Tuesday around 7:50 am by officers from the Kafin Hausa Division, following the suspects’ involvement in a solitary accident with a purloined vehicle in Sabon Sara village, Kafin Hausa LGA.
SP Shiisu stated that the suspects, who attempted to flee the scene, were swiftly captured by alert police operatives.
Prior to their apprehension, police had received a report from one Hussaini Manager at the Kafin Hausa Division that on September 7, 2025, at approximately 8 pm, unidentified individuals had stolen his blue Golf saloon vehicle, bearing registration number MGA 108 JG, from Agura Motor Park in Kafin Hausa LGA.
Shiisu revealed that preliminary investigations uncovered one suspect impersonating Lance Corporal Kabiru Musa of the 102 Guard Brigade, FCT Abuja, residing at Rimin Kebe Quarters, Kano State.
In their possession, authorities discovered a vehicle, seven various ATM cards, two driver’s licenses, and other incriminating items indicative of fraudulent endeavors.
Following the completion of a thorough investigation, the suspects have been formally charged in court.
The Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, Dahiru Muhammad, lauded the Kafin Hausa Division operatives for their professionalism and tenacity, which culminated in the arrests.
