Former President Olusegun Obasanjo to Unveil NOUNAA Water Factory Project

The National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) is set to unveil a water factory project, with former President Olusegun Obasanjo slated to make the official launch.

This development follows a pledge of support by Obasanjo to the institution’s growth during a visit from NOUNAA’s National President, Ifeanyi Obukwelu.

The water factory project is currently in full swing, with strict quality control measures in place for design, materials, and installation.

Upon completion, the factory is expected to have a positive impact on the community, creating jobs for members and the host community, generating sustainable revenue, and enhancing NOUNAA’s visibility. Additionally, it will serve as a training and entrepreneurship hub.

Obasanjo’s involvement with NOUNAA stems from his support for the National Open University of Nigeria, which he resuscitated in 2001.

He has consistently expressed his confidence in the institution’s ability to provide accessible and quality education to Nigerians.

In a recent visit by university officials, Obasanjo reaffirmed that NOUN is not inferior to other universities in the country, highlighting its growth and importance in Nigeria’s education sector.
