Arsenal Cruise Past Nottingham Forest with 3-0 Victory at Emirates

Arsenal maintained their push at the top end of the Premier League table with a convincing 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The breakthrough came in the 32nd minute when Spanish midfielder Martín Zubimendi struck a superb volley from distance to give the Gunners the lead.

Just moments after the restart, Viktor Gyökeres doubled the advantage in the 46th minute, calmly finishing off a well-weighted pass from Eberechi Eze.

Zubimendi then completed his brace in the 79th minute, rising highest to head home and put the result beyond doubt.

Mikel Arteta’s side had to contend with early adversity when captain Martin Ødegaard was forced off with a shoulder injury following a heavy fall.

Already missing Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Kai Havertz, Arsenal’s squad depth came to the fore as they controlled proceedings and limited Forest to few chances.

Nottingham Forest, under new manager Ange Postecoglou, struggled to impose themselves despite his pledge of an attacking style of play.

The visitors rarely threatened and were frequently exposed by Arsenal’s movement and attacking combinations.

The result keeps Arsenal firmly in the title chase, while Forest’s search for rhythm under their new boss continues.
