Amafibe Denies Membership of IRDCUN, Clarifies Award Recognition

Amb. Kingsley Amafibe has denied being a member of the International Royal Diplomatic Club of the United Nations (IRDCUN), clarifying reports linking him to the organization and addressing misunderstandings about a recent award.

In a statement released on Thursday, Amafibe explained that while he was recognized by the United International Peace & Governance Council Africa (UNIPGC Africa) as an Advisory Board member for his contributions to peacebuilding across the continent, he has no formal affiliation with IRDCUN.

“I wish to state categorically that I am not, and have never been, a member of the International Royal Diplomatic Club of the United Nations,” Amafibe said. “Any claims suggesting otherwise are misleading.”

He also apologized to IRDCUN for any confusion caused by the misrepresentation and called on media organizations to verify information before publication.

Amafibe reiterated that the Peace Ambassador Agency, which he leads, has remained a reputable institution championing positive change in Nigeria and across Africa for more than 15 years.

Amafibe’s prompt clarification has been widely commended in academic and media circles, emphasizing the need for transparency in public recognitions and organizational memberships.
