Tinubu Describes Meeting With Macron As Productive

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday described his private working lunch with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace as “productive.”
According to the Presidency, the meeting focused on reviewing areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and exploring ways to deepen the partnership for mutual growth and global stability.
“We had a very productive meeting and reviewed the key areas of cooperation between our nations,” Tinubu said, adding that both leaders agreed to strengthen collaboration in the coming months.
Officials said discussions touched on trade, security, and economic development. The meeting is seen as part of Nigeria’s efforts to attract foreign investment while reinforcing its diplomatic relations with key international partners.
This visit marks President Tinubu’s second trip to France in six months, following a working visit in April. He began his annual working leave on September 4, splitting his time between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.
The Presidency noted that the meeting aligns with ongoing diplomatic engagements during the President’s leave, emphasizing Nigeria’s commitment to maintaining strong relations with France.
