Police Arrest Three Suspected Armed Robbers, Recover Stolen Vehicle in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers in connection with a recent robbery incident in Abuja, leading to the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

Spokesman of the Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday. He said the arrest followed a sustained surveillance operation carried out under the directives of the Commissioner of Police, in collaboration with local vigilante groups.

“On 6th September 2025, our operatives, acting on credible intelligence, apprehended three suspects who were on the run after a robbery incident in Abuja.

The operation led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle believed to have been taken during the crime,” Haruna said.

The suspects were identified as Ismail Imran (20), Abdulaziz Yahaya (31), and Musa Ibrahim Isah (29), all residents of Rigasa Quarters, Kaduna State.

According to the Police, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects fled to Kano after committing the robbery in Abuja, but were tracked and arrested through coordinated efforts between security operatives and community vigilantes.

SP Haruna added that the suspects are currently in custody and will be transferred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution. He also reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in the state.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and continue to provide useful information that could help the police in combating criminal activities.
