Lagos Government Cracks Down on Street Trading

The Lagos State Government has taken decisive action against street traders operating illegally on major roads. The enforcement team, led by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, cleared traders at 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2022.

 

The operation aimed to address the safety and environmental concerns posed by the traders, who had been obstructing traffic flow and endangering pedestrians. The state’s enforcement team took swift action to restore order on the roads and ensure a safe environment for commuters.

 

The government has reiterated its commitment to maintaining a sustainable urban environment and keeping roads safe and clean.

 

The enforcement action is part of ongoing efforts to address environmental infractions and promote a more organized and efficient transportation system in the state.

 

The government urges residents to comply with regulations and support initiatives aimed at improving the state’s infrastructure and environment
