Egyptian National Slumps, Dies at Abuja Hotel

Tragedy struck on Saturday night at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Wuse, when a 56-year-old Egyptian, Mohammed Saleh, slumped and died while having dinner.
The incident occurred around 9:24 p.m. while the deceased was dining with three companions. According to reports, the hotel’s Security Supervisor, Francis Yusuf, promptly alerted the police after Saleh collapsed unexpectedly.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, but was later referred to the Wuse District Hospital. Medical personnel on duty at the hospital confirmed him dead shortly after arrival.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited in the hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
As of press time, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Josephine Adeh, had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
The death of the foreign national has raised concerns within the hotel community, though authorities say investigations are ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
