Kano Lawmaker Applauds NAHCON Chairman for Successful 2025 Hajj Reforms

A member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Murtala Musa Kore, has commended the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, for his leadership and the smooth coordination of the 2025 Hajj operations.

Kore, who represents Dambatta constituency, said the commission recorded “remarkable success” in this year’s exercise, ensuring that Nigerian pilgrims enjoyed improved services in Makkah, Madinah, Muna, Arafah, and Muzdalifah.

According to him, pilgrims were provided with quality accommodation, feeding, and transportation arrangements, marking a significant step forward in the commission’s service delivery.

He noted that despite challenges and alleged attempts at sabotage since his appointment, Prof. Usman has introduced reforms that strengthened the commission and enhanced pilgrims’ welfare.

“Since his appointment, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh has been encountering challenges, but this did not deter him from ensuring the success of the 2025 Hajj exercise. Nigerian pilgrims were provided with good accommodation, feeding, and transportation,” Kore said.

The lawmaker urged the public to rally behind the NAHCON chairman and pray for his success as he continues to reposition the commission.

Kore also extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their support to the commission, stressing that NAHCON’s achievements are further proof of the administration’s commitment to strengthening religious institutions and delivering value to citizens.
