UNILAG Honors Bayelsa Governor with Book Project, Public Lecture, Professorial Chair

The University of Lagos has completed a book project on Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri’s leadership qualities and governance style.
The university’s consultancy arm, UNILAG Consult, made this known during a courtesy visit to Government House in Yenagoa.
The institution has also proposed a public lecture and endowing a Professorial Chair in the Department of Political Science in honor of the governor.
According to the Managing Director of UNILAG Consult, the book focuses on Diri’s exemplary leadership and achievements in Bayelsa State.
The governor expressed his delight at the gesture, stating that he had always considered establishing a leadership institute to mentor aspiring politicians.
Diri emphasized the importance of teamwork in achieving success, highlighting the contributions of his commissioners, special advisers, and technical advisers.
The University of Lagos’ decision to document Diri’s leadership style and legacy is a testament to the governor’s inclusive leadership and development-oriented governance.
The book project, public lecture, and professorial chair are expected to serve as a lasting tribute to the governor’s achievements.
