Egbetokun Names Hundeyin New Police Spokesman

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the outgoing spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

Adejobi, who has held the role since 2022, described Hundeyin as a seasoned and competent officer with strong academic and professional credentials, expressing confidence in his ability to effectively manage the police’s communication machinery.

Hundeyin, a familiar face in police-public engagements, previously served as the Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, where he earned public recognition for his active presence and responsiveness.

His appointment comes as part of the Inspector-General’s efforts to further strengthen public trust, transparency, and accountability in the Nigeria Police Force.
