President Bola Tinubu Directs Deployment of Advanced Military Hardware to Combat Banditry in Katsina State

President Bola Tinubu has directed the deployment of advanced military hardware and surveillance gadgets in Katsina State to combat the recent surge in banditry attacks.

The President made this declaration on Tuesday while receiving a delegation of eminent citizens from Katsina State, led by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, at the State House in Abuja. Tinubu emphasized that the security challenges facing the country are surmountable, but acknowledged the inherited weaknesses that need to be addressed. "I have today directed all security agencies to energize further and look at strategies.

We have approved additional acquisition of drones," he stated. The President also directed daily feedback on security operations in Katsina State. The President expressed his intention to create a state police force, stating, "I am reviewing all aspects of security; I have to create a state police. We are looking at that holistically." The federal government will further equip recently deployed forest guards to enhance community-based security.
