Kwankwaso Has Not Ruled Out Joining APC, Says Jibrin

Former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, may still consider returning to the All Progressives Congress (APC) if the right conditions are met, according to House of Representatives member, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
Jibrin, who represents the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), disclosed this on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, noting that Kwankwaso has consistently maintained an open-door approach to political alliances.
He explained that politics is often about negotiations and possibilities, stressing that the NNPP leader remains flexible.
“Kwankwaso has always kept his doors open. Politics is about discussions, negotiations, and possibilities. So, yes, he is still open to working with the APC if the right conditions are met,” Jibrin said.
The lawmaker, a close ally of Kwankwaso, also restated his personal loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, arguing that he does not see any obstacle to the president’s re-election in 2027.
Jibrin, a former Director-General of Tinubu’s campaign organisation, added that collaboration between Tinubu and Kwankwaso would be of strategic benefit to both sides as political realignments intensify ahead of the next general election.
