FG Committee Reviews Over 700 Laws, Final Draft Expected This Year

The Federal Government has announced major progress in its ongoing effort to update Nigeria’s legal framework.
In October 2024, the administration inaugurated the Committee on Review, Revision and Consolidation of Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, tasked with reviewing and modernising outdated legislation to strengthen the rule of law and improve access to justice.
Since its inauguration, the committee has reviewed more than 700 of the 737 laws under its mandate. It is expected to submit its final draft before the end of 2025.
