NNPC Limited Appoints New Leadership to Enhance Communication, Stakeholder Engagement

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has announced the appointment of two seasoned professionals, Andy Odeh and Morenike Adewunmi, to key leadership positions. Odeh has been appointed Chief Corporate Communications Officer, while Adewunmi takes on the role of Chief Relations Officer.

Andy Odeh, a veteran communications professional, brings over 30 years of experience to his new role. He spent 26 years at Nigeria LNG Limited, where he held several leadership positions in community relations, logistics, IT, corporate communications, public affairs, and regulatory compliance.

Odeh successfully managed the company’s rebranding and implemented a micro-credit scheme for host communities.

Morenike Adewunmi, a legal practitioner with extensive experience in stakeholder management and regulatory affairs, joins NNPC Limited from Shell Companies in Nigeria. She is recognized for her strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to build robust stakeholder networks.

The appointments reflect NNPC Limited’s commitment to strengthening stakeholder engagement and public communication across its operations.

This strategic move aims to improve public trust and effective engagement with host communities, regulators, and international partners.

The appointments come shortly after Olufemi Soneye’s resignation as Chief Corporate Communications Officer on June 21, 2025. With Odeh and Adewunmi at the helm, NNPC Limited is poised to enhance its communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
