Jandor Applauds Tinubu’s Tax Reforms, Visits Lagos Speaker, Obasa

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s recently signed tax reforms, describing them as “people-centric” and a bold step toward revamping Nigeria’s economy.

Jandor, who recently rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the remarks on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, at his residence in Ikeja.

He noted that the new tax laws, signed by President Tinubu, were designed to ease the burden on ordinary Nigerians while promoting growth in critical sectors of the economy.

“These reforms show that the President is not just looking at revenue generation but also considering the welfare of the people. It is a people-centric approach that prioritises inclusivity and sustainability,” Jandor said.

He commended Speaker Obasa for his leadership of the state legislature and expressed his readiness to work with the APC structure in Lagos to advance policies that directly impact the lives of residents.

In his response, Speaker Obasa welcomed Jandor’s visit and praised his support for the Tinubu administration’s reforms, noting that Lagos politicians must unite to ensure effective governance and progress for the state.

Jandor’s latest remarks are seen as part of his efforts to consolidate his return to the APC fold and position himself as a key supporter of the President’s economic agenda.
