Victor Boniface Completes Medicals at Werder Bremen Ahead of Deadline Move

Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface, is on the verge of sealing a late switch to the Bundesliga after completing medical tests at Werder Bremen, just hours before the close of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old forward, who has been one of the standout Nigerian players in Europe over the past year, underwent his medicals on Monday in Germany, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
“Victor Boniface has just completed his medical tests at Werder Bremen,” Romano confirmed in a post on X.
This move comes only days after AC Milan abruptly pulled out of a deal for the striker, despite holding advanced talks with his camp.
The collapse of the Italian giants’ interest paved the way for Bremen to step in with a late push to secure his services.
Boniface, who joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2023, impressed with his powerful displays and sharp finishing in the Bundesliga and UEFA competitions.
However, with Leverkusen restructuring their squad, Bremen appear set to benefit from his availability as they seek to bolster their attack for the new season.
The transfer is expected to be finalized once paperwork is completed before the window slams shut. If confirmed, Boniface will join fellow Super Eagles forward Anthony Ujah as one of the few Nigerians to represent the North German club.
Werder Bremen are counting on Boniface’s creativity, strength, and eye for goal to boost their chances in the league, with fans already buzzing over the potential acquisition.
