Kano State Assembly Approves N215.3 Billion Supplementary Budget for 2025 

The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a supplementary budget of N215.3 billion for the 2025 fiscal year, bringing the total budget to over N935 billion. The approval was made after thorough deliberations by members of the assembly.

 

The supplementary budget is intended to support the upkeep of newly established government agencies, schools’ renovation, infrastructural development, and urban renewal projects. The assembly has pledged to ensure proper oversight of the funds to guarantee their judicious use.

 

The original 2025 budget was presented in November 2024 with a total sum of N719.8 billion, allocating 64% for capital expenditure and 36% for recurrent expenditure.

 

The additional funding brings the total budget to a significant amount, demonstrating the government’s commitment to development and growth in the state.
