NAHCON Sets Deadlines for 2026 Hajj Pilgrimage

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has released a series of critical deadlines for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.

The commission is urging intending pilgrims, state boards, and private tour operators to adhere strictly to the schedule to ensure a smooth operation.

According to the commission, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi authorities will be signed in November 2025, marking the official start of preparations. Key deadlines include January 4, 2026, for completing camp booking payments and confirming service contract packages, and February 1, 2026, for uploading transport and accommodation contracts on the Nusuk Masar portal.

NAHCON has also set October 8, 2025, as the deadline for remitting funds to secure slots for the pilgrimage. The commission emphasized that these timelines are non-negotiable and must be adhered to strictly to avoid disruptions.

The strict adherence to Saudi Arabia’s digital and logistical requirements has become increasingly important due to growing demand for Hajj slots globally. NAHCON’s timely guidelines are seen as crucial for Nigeria’s participation in the 2026 pilgrimage.
