Katsina Gov Allocates N20m for Cemeteries Renovation, Announces Welfare Package for Royal Fathers

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has announced a N20 million allocation for each of the state’s 34 local government areas to renovate graveyards.
The governor made this disclosure while receiving royal fathers from the Katsina and Daura Emirates.
Governor Radda also unveiled a new welfare package for traditional and religious leaders in the state. The package includes a salary upgrade for district heads to Grade Level 16, monthly allowances for 6,652 ward heads, stipends for over 3,000 Imams and their deputies, and allowances for mosque sweepers.
The governor emphasized that security remains a top priority for his administration and revealed that over 1,500 youths have been trained and equipped to support security efforts.
He urged traditional rulers and community leaders to promote awareness and encourage citizens to take initiative in ensuring their safety.
The Emirate Council has pledged to support the government through prayers and cooperation to promote peace, unity, and prosperity across Katsina State.
The Wazirin Katsina, Sen. Ibrahim Ida, commended Governor Radda for his efforts in repositioning the two emirates for greater development.
