Deji Adeyanju Hits Back at Peter Obi Over Defamation Threat

Human Rights activist Deji Adeyanju has accused former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi of insincerity in politics, following a letter threatening legal action against him.

In an interview on Friday morning, Adeyanju alleged that Obi once offered him financial inducement during the 2023 elections, which he claimed to have rejected. He described the former Anambra governor as lacking consistency in political values and criticized his supporters  known as Obidients  as being intolerant and overly aggressive in their engagements.

Obi’s lawyers had earlier written to Adeyanju, demanding that he retract his statements or face a defamation suit. Adeyanju, however, insisted that he stood by his remarks, saying he would not be intimidated by litigation threats.
