Anambra Police Arrest Chinese National for Unauthorized Mining 

The Anambra State Police Command has taken into custody a 45-year-old Chinese national, Mu Hua Qiang, in connection with alleged illicit mining operations in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area.

 

According to the police, Qiang was apprehended and handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) by officials of the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA Brigade) on August 22.

 

The suspect, who resides in Aguleri, is currently being held while investigations continue.

 

The police have obtained his statement and have promised to provide updates to the public once the investigation is concluded.

 

The Anambra State Police Command is working to determine the extent of Qiang’s involvement in the alleged unauthorized mining activities and will take necessary actions based on the findings of the investigation.
