Nigeria Police Force Condemns Officers’ Actions in Viral Video

The Nigeria Police Force has strongly condemned the actions of officers involved in a viral video that showed them attempting to forcibly remove a pair of glasses from a motorist during a stop-and-search operation.

The officers were attached to the Lagos State Police Command.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Lagos State Command has taken swift action, ordering disciplinary measures against the officers involved.

The squad has also been restructured. The Nigeria Police Force assures the public that this incident does not reflect the expected standards of professionalism.

The Force leadership is committed to identifying and sanctioning errant officers whose actions compromise the integrity of dedicated and hardworking personnel.

The incident has sparked outrage, and the police response aims to address concerns about officer conduct.
