Governor Radda appoints 15 new Senior Special Assistants, Hotels Board GM

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved the appointment of 15 new Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and a General Manager for the State Hotels Board as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
The appointments, which took effect on August 2, 2025, are in line with the administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda, aimed at driving people-centred development, enhancing security, and ensuring inclusive governance.
According to a statement issued by the governor’s office, the new appointees were carefully selected to inject competence and professional expertise into key sectors of the administration.
Those appointed include Mrs Aisha Barda as SSA on School Feeding, Musa Ado Faskari as SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa Federal Constituency, and Nu’uman Imam Muhammed as SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Batagarawa/Charanchi/Rimi Federal Constituency. Others are Dr Habibu AbdulKadir, SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Matazu/Musawa Federal Constituency; Ali Mamman Bakori, SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency; Labaran Magaji Ingwawa, SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Ingawa/Kankia/Kusada Federal Constituency; and Bishir Sabi’u, SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Jibia/Kaita Federal Constituency.
Also on the list are Murtala Adamu Baure as SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Baure/Zango Federal Constituency; Yusuf Mamman Ifo, SSA on CDP/Coordinator for Batsari/Danmusa/Safana Federal Constituency; Dangi Abbas, SSA on Security Matters; Faruk Hayatu, SSA on Youth Development; Bala Garba Tsanni, SSA on Social Development; Musa Maikudi, SSA on Party Affairs; Aminu Ashiru Kofar Sauri, SSA on SPIME; and Mannir Shehu Wurma, SSA on Media and Publicity.
In addition, a new General Manager was appointed for the Hotels Board, with a mandate to reposition the hospitality sector as part of the state’s broader economic diversification drive.
Governor Radda noted that the appointments are meant to deepen the administration’s commitment to transparency, security, human capital development, and social inclusion. He charged the new appointees to demonstrate loyalty, dedication, and innovation in discharging their duties.
Political observers say the appointments, which cut across various constituencies and sectors, are designed to consolidate grassroots engagement and enhance the implementation of developmental projects under the current administration.
