EFCC Summons CBEX Victims to Aid Fraud Investigation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited victims of the alleged fraudulent scheme linked to Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX) to assist its investigators in unravelling the activities of the suspects behind the platform.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Friday, EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, urged individuals who invested in CBEX through persons associated with its offices in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Idimu, Lagos, to come forward.

According to the statement, affected victims are expected to report at the commission’s Ibadan Zonal Directorate, located at 16A, Reverend Oyebode Crescent, Iyaganku, Ibadan, or its Lagos Zonal Directorate, at 7A, Okotie-Eboh Street, Ikoyi.

The anti-graft agency emphasized that the victims’ cooperation is vital to the ongoing investigation into the alleged fraudulent activities of CBEX and its promoters.

CBEX had operated as a crypto investment platform before collapsing under controversial circumstances, leaving several investors stranded.
