College of Agriculture Lafia Confirms ₦4.4m Loan Disbursement to 70 Students

The College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia, has confirmed the receipt of ₦4.4 million from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as financial support for 70 of its students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

In an official letter dated July 24, 2025, the institution’s Registrar, Umar Tijani, acknowledged the disbursement and expressed the college’s appreciation to NELFUND.

The sum, described as the first batch of loan disbursements for the institution, is expected to ease the financial burden of students enrolled in the college.

Tijani, writing on behalf of the Rector, extended the “highest regards” of the college community to the management of NELFUND for its intervention.

The acknowledgement comes as part of the federal government’s broader effort to provide interest-free loans to Nigerian students in public tertiary institutions through NELFUND.
