Robbery Attempt Turns Fatal in Aba, Suspect Dies
A young man identified as Ikechukwu Daniel lost his life on Monday night while attempting to steal along Omuma Road in Aba, Abia State.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred late in the evening when Daniel reportedly tried to rob unsuspecting residents.
The operation, however, went awry, leading to his death before he could escape the scene.
Residents who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the incident caused panic in the area, as passersby and shop owners scampered for safety during the failed robbery attempt.
Security operatives were later seen at the scene to restore order and prevent further breakdown of law and order.
