Israeli Airstrikes Kill 25 in Gaza IDP Camp

At least 25 Palestinians were killed on Monday morning following a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian media citing local medical sources.
The deadliest strikes were reported in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, where a drone hit a tent sheltering displaced families. Five people, including a one-year-old baby and two children aged 12 and 13, were killed instantly.
Another strike in the same area reportedly claimed five more lives.
In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, eight people were said to have been killed when Israeli warplanes targeted a residential area.
Casualties were also recorded in other parts of the enclave, bringing the total death toll from the latest round of strikes to no fewer than 25.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have not issued a statement specifically addressing Monday’s attacks but said reports of civilian casualties were being reviewed. Israel has maintained that its military campaign is aimed at dismantling Hamas’ operational infrastructure, accusing the group of using civilian areas for cover.
The fresh wave of strikes comes as fears grow of a wider ground offensive.
Thousands of Palestinians have fled eastern Gaza City in recent days, seeking refuge in the western and southern parts of the territory, amid warnings of an expanded Israeli operation.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the conflict has now claimed the lives of more than 60,000 Palestinians since it began, many of them women and children.
International mediators, particularly Egypt and Qatar, continue to push for a ceasefire agreement, but no lasting truce has yet been reached.
Humanitarian agencies warn that the escalating violence is worsening an already dire crisis, with food shortages, collapsing medical facilities, and mass displacement compounding civilian suffering.
