2027: Yahaya Bello Predicts Re-Election of Tinubu, Ododo Under APC

Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, will both secure re-election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Bello made this assertion during a meeting with newly elected state lawmakers, where he emphasized that the APC remained the dominant political force in the country.

He praised the leadership style of President Tinubu, describing him as a visionary whose reforms would position Nigeria for long-term growth.

According to him, the President’s ongoing policies in the economy, security, and infrastructure would translate into overwhelming support at the polls.

Turning his attention to Kogi politics, Bello said Governor Ododo had shown loyalty to the APC’s ideals and was already consolidating gains in governance.

He predicted that Ododo’s performance in office would ensure the party’s continuity in the state beyond 2027.

“The APC is the party to beat. I can assure you that our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be re-elected, our Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, will be re-elected, and our candidates at all levels will continue to emerge victorious under our great party,” Bello declared.

The remarks come at a time when the APC has officially endorsed President Tinubu as its candidate for the 2027 presidential election, while Governor Ododo has also been reaffirming loyalty to Tinubu and the party leadership.

However, Bello’s prediction of Ododo’s re-election remains a projection of political strength rather than a formal endorsement from the party.

Political observers say Bello’s statement is part of early mobilization within the APC, as it seeks to maintain its grip on power at both federal and state levels in the face of expected challenges from opposition parties.
