APC Flags Off Rivers LG Election Campaign
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced its campaign rally for the August 30 local government elections in Rivers State, drawing a large turnout of party members and supporters.
The event, held at Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, features the presentation of party flags to candidates who emerged from last Saturday’s primaries.
State APC Chairman, Chief Tony Okocha, arrived early with members of the party’s executive council and was greeted with loud cheers from the crowd.
Among the candidates present at the rally were Confidence Deko of Gokana LGA, Dr. Chidi Lloyd of Emuoha, Allwell Ihunda of Port Harcourt City LGA, and Vincent Nemienoka of Ogu/Bolo LGA.
The rally venue was adorned with party flags and symbols as supporters chanted slogans ahead of the formal commencement of activities.
