Soludo Declares Unapologetic Support for Tinubu Despite Party Differences

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, on Tuesday reaffirmed his long-standing friendship and support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring he has “no apologies” for standing by the Nigerian leader despite belonging to different political parties.
Speaking to journalists after a meeting with Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governor appeared in a cap bearing inscriptions endorsing Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
“President Tinubu is my friend, has been my friend, 22 years now and counting,” Soludo said. “So, you don’t deny your friend. He is my friend. I support him, I am impressed by the bold steps he has taken, particularly in the area of the economy.”
Soludo, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, met with the President amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the next general elections. His public show of support underscores a rare cross-party alliance in Nigeria’s often polarized political landscape.
