Police Intercept Okada Rider with 3 Human Skulls in Ogun

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have intercepted a motorcycle rider found in possession of three human skulls during a routine stop-and-search operation in the Ijebu area of the state.

The incident occurred on Monday, August 11, 2025, at about 2:00 p.m., when officers of the 71 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Awa Ijebu, were conducting checks along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway, near Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu.

According to the command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the officers flagged down a motorcycle ridden by one Kadir Owolabi, during which a search of his luggage revealed the shocking discovery of three human skulls.

Preliminary investigations led to the arrest of a second suspect, Jamiu Yisa, 53, apprehended behind the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.

Odutola said the State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to take over the case for thorough and discreet investigation to unravel the source of the skulls and the suspects’ motives.

“The Commissioner of Police has assured the public that all those connected to this criminal act will be brought to justice,” Odutola stated.

The police have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their communities, stressing that the command remains committed to tackling crimes involving human body parts in the state.
