Kaduna Revenue Hits ₦91.23bn R in First Half of 2025

Kaduna State has generated ₦91.23 billion in total revenue in the first half of 2025, according to the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mukhtar Mohammed. Mohammed disclosed the figure during the state’s mid-year budget performance review, noting that the sum comprises internally generated revenue (IGR) and statutory allocations. He said Kaduna recorded ₦19.5 billion IGR in the first quarter of the year, against an annual IGR target of ₦112 billion. The commissioner attributed the performance to ongoing reforms in tax administration, the adoption of digital revenue collection systems, and stricter monitoring of ministries, departments, and agencies. “Our mid-year results show that Kaduna State remains committed to fiscal discipline and improved revenue mobilisation,” Mohammed said. He assured that the government would intensify efforts in the second half of the year to close the gap towards meeting the 2025 revenue target, while urging residents to support the process by paying their taxes promptly.
