Ekiti PDP Aspirant Slams APC Government Over Poor Performance

Peter Obafemi, a governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the state, describing its performance as subpar over the past three years. Obafemi, an aviation expert, declared his intention to contest the 2026 governorship election, citing residents’ desire for a change in government due to the current administration’s poor performance.

Obafemi emphasized the need for unity within the PDP, stressing that a united party can replicate past electoral victories. He expressed his determination to unseat the APC government, promising to prioritize the welfare of Ekiti people and promote development in the state.

His campaign motto, “Ekiti first,” aims to usher in a new era of peace, security, and economic growth.

With over three decades of experience in public service and private enterprise, Obafemi believes he can build a new government driven by innovation, inclusion, integrity, and honesty. He pledged to revitalize the state’s economy, improve infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life for all citizens.

The Director General of the Peter Obafemi Organisation, Kunle Ogunjobi, assured Ekiti people that the PDP is committed to providing responsible leadership and people-centered policies. He urged party members to remain dedicated and passionate about the cause, emphasizing that the party’s fight is not just for power but for the future of the state and its people.
