Jackson Unsure of Continued Chelsea Stay as Maresca Hints at Possible Exit

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has refused to rule out the departure of striker, Nicolas Jackson this summer, amid growing speculation surrounding the player’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking during a media briefing on Thursday, as posted by renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Maresca admitted that “anything can happen” in the current transfer window, particularly with the club bolstering its attacking options by signing two new strikers.

“During the window, anything can happen. That’s also the case for Nico Jackson. We signed two strikers… let’s see,” Maresca said.

Jackson, who joined Chelsea two seasons ago, has seen his position in the squad come under scrutiny following the club’s recent transfer activity. While he showed flashes of promise during his debut campaign, the competition for places has intensified, raising doubts over his long-term role in Maresca’s plans.

The manager’s remarks have further fueled rumours of a potential exit, with reports suggesting that clubs across Europe are monitoring Jackson’s situation.

In addition to transfer uncertainties, Chelsea have also been hit with an injury blow. Maresca confirmed that young defender Levi Colwill is currently sidelined due to a yet-to-be-specified problem.

“We had a problem the last two days about Levi Colwill. We don’t know how long he will be out for. Hopefully not too long. It’s a problem,” Maresca stated.

The transfer window remains open, and all eyes will be on the club’s next moves especially regarding Jackson’s future and Colwill’s recovery.
