50 Births Recorded at RCCG Convention as Adeboye Emphasizes Self-Mastery

At least 50 babies have been delivered during the ongoing 2025 Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at the Redemption City, Ogun State, as the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, delivered a stirring message on self-mastery and spiritual discipline.

The announcement of the births comprising 27 boys and 23 girls was made on Wednesday, August 6, by the Church’s Convention Media Team.

The atmosphere at the vast campground was one of jubilation as worshippers celebrated the safe deliveries during the week-long spiritual gathering themed “The Wonders of His Grace.”

During his sermon on Day 3 of the convention, Pastor Adeboye admonished Christians to cultivate self-discipline in order to grow spiritually and lead fulfilling lives.

Citing examples from scripture, he stressed that many destinies have been derailed not by external forces but by a lack of personal restraint.

“Your greatest enemy is not the devil; it is your inability to control yourself,” Adeboye said. “Self-mastery is the key to enduring greatness. If you conquer yourself, no one else can defeat you.”

The revered cleric also emphasized the role of grace in helping believers overcome temptations and walk in alignment with God’s purpose, urging attendees to submit fully to God’s will.

The RCCG convention continues to attract millions of worshippers from around the world and is known for its powerful sermons, healings, miracles, and prophetic declarations.

The 2025 edition is expected to conclude on Sunday, August 10, with a grand thanksgiving service.
