Tinubu Will Win 2027 With Greatest Landslide in Fourth Republic – SWAGA Declares at Launch of 2.0 Campaign

The South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), a leading political support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has predicted a historic landslide victory for the President in the 2027 general elections, stating it will be the most decisive win since the advent of the Fourth Republic in 1999.
Speaking during a press conference held in Lagos on Tuesday to unveil SWAGA 2.0, the group’s renewed mobilisation strategy, National Chairman Senator Dayo Adeyeye said Tinubu’s performance since assuming office in 2023 has exceeded expectations and cemented his support across all regions, including northern Nigeria.
“We are not afraid. It is going to be the greatest landslide victory in the history of the republic, even in northern Nigeria,” Adeyeye declared confidently.
Adeyeye, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and a former Minister of State for Works, dismissed narratives suggesting that the North would reject Tinubu’s second-term bid as unfounded and misleading.
“The idea that the North won’t vote for Tinubu is a myth. The North has never voted as one political bloc. There are different geopolitical zones with different interests, and they don’t always go the same way. Even now, we are witnessing greater consensus for Tinubu across northern states,” he stated.
He added that the example of the late Chief MKO Abiola defeating his opponent in his own ward in Kano in the 1993 election is evidence that electoral assumptions about the North can be flawed.
According to Adeyeye, President Tinubu’s track record within the first two years of his administration—particularly in infrastructure, economic reforms, and bold policy decisions—has earned him trust from Nigerians across board.
“Tinubu has confronted everything head-on. He’s a courageous leader who thinks not just about the next election, but about the next generation,” Adeyeye said. “We thought he might succumb to political pressure, but he hasn’t. Instead, he has taken bold steps, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the floating of the naira, to save the economy from collapse.”
On the launch of SWAGA 2.0, Adeyeye said the group was reactivating its grassroots network to mobilise more support for the President ahead of the 2027 elections, just as it had done in the build-up to his successful 2023 campaign.
He highlighted a list of infrastructure projects currently ongoing across the country as a testament to Tinubu’s commitment to national development. These include the 9th Mile–Oturkpo–Makurdi Road, Sokoto–Badagry Highway, Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Dual Carriageway, Abuja–Lokoja–Benin Road, Enugu–Onitsha Expressway, Benin–Asaba Super Highway, Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, and others.
“These projects are not just figures on paper. They’re happening on the ground. Nigerians are seeing the work, and this will speak for Tinubu in 2027,” Adeyeye said.
He further stated that the Tinubu administration’s accomplishments in under two years indicate that the country is on track for accelerated growth under the President’s leadership.
“We are of the firm conviction that the country will experience exponential development and growth in eight years under the visionary and courageous leadership of President Tinubu. Nigerians are in for a better and brighter future,” he affirmed.
Adeyeye also dismissed any threat posed by the newly formed opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing its members as “people without electoral value.”
According to him, all governors from the North, especially those from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), are solidly behind Tinubu, with some governors from opposition parties also likely to lend their support due to the President’s development-driven agenda.
As preparations for the next general election begin to gain momentum, SWAGA says it is determined to ensure that President Tinubu secures a second term with overwhelming national support.
