Kaduna Governor in Cabinet Reshuffle, Swaps Key Portfolios

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has made adjustments to his cabinet, redeploying two key commissioners to new roles.

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Sule Shuaibu, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, while James Kanyip will take over as the new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, stated that the reshuffle aims to enhance the operational effectiveness of the ministries by leveraging the individual capacities and experience of the commissioners.

Governor Sani charged the two top functionaries to approach their new responsibilities with fairness, total commitment, and integrity.

The swap involves two sensitive and high-profile ministries: Justice and Internal Security, both critical to the state’s fight against banditry, kidnappings, and justice sector reform. Shuaibu’s expertise in law will now be applied to internal security, while Kanyip’s academic depth and administrative experience are expected to benefit the Ministry of Justice.

The governor expressed confidence that both men would bring their wealth of experience to their new roles, emphasizing that service delivery remains a cornerstone of his administration.
