Nigerian Musician 9ice Opens Up About Life-Threatening Spiritual Attack

Nigerian Musician 9ice Opens Up About Life-Threatening Spiritual Attack

Veteran Nigerian singer, 9ice has shared a harrowing account of a spiritual attack he experienced in 2010, which left him vomiting blood for six months. According to 9ice, the condition was not a medical issue but a spiritual affliction that required spiritual intervention.

He made this revelation during a recent appearance on The Nancy Isime Show.

9ice revealed that he found healing after being referred to an Ifa priest, which led him to discover the power of traditional African spirituality.

This experience not only transformed his life but also made him a traditionalist and a Babalawo, or Ifá priest. 9ice expressed regret for not embracing his cultural heritage earlier and now encourages others to explore and appreciate African traditional practices.

The musician cited Fela Kuti as an example of someone who was ahead of his time in embracing African spirituality, despite facing criticism. 9ice believes it’s time for Africans to stop demonizing their own culture and instead, reconnect with their roots.

“It’s time we stopped demonising our own. Our ancestors were not evil. We need to embrace who we truly are,” 9ice emphasized.

Today, 9ice identifies as a traditionalist, having moved away from mainstream religions. He credits Ifa divination with saving his life and wishes he had known about it earlier.

The singer’s journey serves as a testament to the significance of traditional African spirituality and the importance of embracing one’s cultural heritage.
