Gospel Singer Launches 60-Day Praise Campaign to Inspire National Healing

In the face of ongoing economic hardship and rising social tensions across the country, gospel singer and minister Chigozie Wisdom has announced the sixth edition of the annual 60 Days Sacrifice of Praise over Nigeria, a spiritually charged movement set to begin on August 3 and run through October 1, 2025.

This year’s edition, themed “The Siege Is Over: A Nation Gathers in Praise for 60 Days of Hope and Healing,” will kick off with an opening ceremony at the Chapel of Christ the Light in Alausa, Lagos.

In a statement shared with Society Plus, organizers described the praise initiative as more than a musical gathering—but rather a spiritual altar and national call to worship, aimed at invoking divine intervention in a time of deep national need.

“Praise is a weapon,” said Wisdom. “This is not just an event—it’s a divine assignment. We believe that through consistent praise, strongholds can be broken, and atmospheres can shift in favor of transformation.”

Beyond worship, this year’s campaign incorporates a series of charity and outreach projects, including; project 1000, a mass feeding initiative, medical outreach missions, family empowerment drives

These efforts are designed to offer practical support to communities most affected by poverty, unemployment, and health challenges, thereby complementing the spiritual focus with tangible acts of service.

Now in its sixth year, the 60 Days Sacrifice of Praise continues to gain momentum as a symbol of national hope and unity, offering Nigerians a space to both reflect and rebuild through faith, praise, and compassion.
