Command Secondary School Class of ’95 Marks 30th Reunion with Generous Donations, Mentorship

The Class of 1995 from Command Secondary School, Ipaja, Lagos, recently celebrated their 30th graduation anniversary with a meaningful three-day reunion that blended nostalgia, generosity, and inspiration.
Far from being just a trip down memory lane, the gathering became a platform for impactful giving. The alumni group donated 504 chairs and seven electric fans to enhance the school’s auditorium, and also equipped the school clinic with a Haematology Analyser and UPS system, significantly boosting its diagnostic capabilities.
In addition to their infrastructure contributions, the Class of ’95 reaffirmed their commitment to sponsor the WAEC and NECO exam fees for 20 outstanding students in 2026—a continuation of their dedication to academic empowerment.
As part of the reunion activities, the alumni hosted a mentorship session for SS3 students, themed “Life After ComLag.” The interactive forum offered practical advice on navigating life beyond secondary school, focusing on courage, strategy, and relationship-building. Students had the rare opportunity to engage with alumni who have forged successful paths across various fields.
The celebration concluded with a vibrant dinner on Victoria Island, where members of the planning committee were applauded for their efforts.
Speaking at the event, planning committee chairman Gbubemi Atimomo reflected, “This is a celebration of who we are and who we’re becoming.”
Echoing the spirit of service, association president Alex Ererobe added, “We don’t just gather; we give back.”
The reunion underscored the enduring bond among Command alumni—and the power of giving back to the institutions that shaped them.
