Gbajabiamila Urges Northern Leaders to Support Tinubu’s Second-Term Bid

Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has called on political leaders from Northern Nigeria to throw their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.

Speaking at the 2025 Dialogue Session of the Northern Caucus of the National Forum of Former Legislators in Abuja on Saturday, Gbajabiamila described Tinubu as a unifying figure whose administration has championed inclusivity and equitable development across the country.

“President Tinubu is not just a Southern leader; he is a national leader who has carried every region along,” Gbajabiamila said. “From critical infrastructure to policy reforms, the North is benefitting from a government that believes in equity and shared prosperity.”

He emphasized the need for continuity, urging the Northern Caucus to mobilize support for the President’s second-term ambition.

According to him, the foundation being laid by the Tinubu administration must be allowed to reach full maturity for the sake of national stability and progress.

Also speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Nnanna Igbokwe, praised the Northern Caucus for taking what he described as a “bold and patriotic stand.”

“This resolution by the Northern Caucus is a significant statement of statesmanship. It shows leadership that transcends personal or regional interest,” Igbokwe said, adding that he expects other regional caucuses to follow suit in the interest of national unity and continuity.

The gathering brought together former lawmakers from across the North and further fueled early political discourse surrounding the 2027 general elections.
