Fintiri Donates 23 SUVs to Judges, Affirms Support for Independent Judiciary

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has presented 23 brand-new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to judges in the state’s judiciary, underscoring his administration’s continued commitment to judicial independence and efficiency.

During the official handover of the vehicles, Fintiri reaffirmed the role of the judiciary as a cornerstone of democracy, stating that the government must provide a conducive environment for justice to thrive.

He described the judiciary as one “that delivers justice without fear or favour,” emphasizing the importance of protecting judges from political and economic pressures.

The vehicles, which were lined up at the state government house, included both white and black SUVs, indicating a substantial investment in the judicial arm of the government.

Photos from the ceremony showed the governor personally inspecting the vehicles alongside judicial officers.

Governor Fintiri’s gesture is part of broader reforms his administration has initiated to bolster the rule of law and ensure the judiciary operates with dignity and independence.

This move follows earlier efforts, including the renovation and upgrading of court facilities across Adamawa.

The initiative has been met with appreciation from members of the judiciary and legal observers, many of whom view the gesture as symbolic of the state’s commitment to strengthening the justice system and upholding the separation of powers.
