Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has announced a significant upgrade to the welfare of National Youth Service Corps members in the state.

The governor has approved the reconstruction and upgrade of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ikot Itie Idung, Nsit Atai Local Government Area.

This move aims to provide a conducive environment for corps members during their orientation.

Additionally, Governor Eno has increased the monthly state allowance for corps members from N5,000 to N20,000, effective August 1, 2025. This increase applies to all corps members posted to Akwa Ibom State and Akwa Ibom State corps members serving across Nigeria.

The governor has also approved the construction of Youth Friendly Hubs across the 31 Local Government Areas of the state. These hubs will be equipped with solar power and full internet access, and corps members will be deployed to provide technical expertise.
