Tinubu’s Administration Delivering, But Lacking in Communication – Babangida Aliyu

Former Niger State Governor, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its performance but criticized its inability to effectively communicate its achievements to the public. Aliyu made this observation while reacting to a recent public accountability session in Kaduna, where federal ministers and top government officials presented the administration’s progress to northern stakeholders.

Aliyu believes that the government’s inability to convey its successes to the people is a major challenge. He emphasized that every minister and head of parastatal should be able to inform the public about their achievements, rather than relying solely on the Ministry of Information.

As a prominent northern leader, Aliyu noted that the region has high expectations from the government, given that it provided a significant portion of the votes that led to Tinubu’s presidency.

He stressed the need for the government to be more transparent and communicative about its progress, particularly in addressing pressing issues like insecurity and poverty.

Despite the communication challenges, Aliyu acknowledged that the government is making progress in various areas.

He urged the administration to adopt a more proactive approach to sharing its achievements with the public, rather than letting criticism and misinformation dominate the narrative.
