Keyamo’s Aide, Gbenga Saka, Eases Back-to-School Burden with Free Uniforms in Ogun Community

In a move that underscores grassroots empowerment and community-focused leadership, Mr. Gbenga Saka, Special Assistant to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has donated hundreds of school uniforms to pupils at St. James Anglican Primary School in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
The donation, which has been warmly received by parents, teachers, and the school’s leadership, is part of Saka’s continued efforts to support vulnerable families and reduce financial pressure on parents as the new academic session approaches.
“This gesture is aimed at easing the burden on parents and is my personal way of giving back to the society that shaped me,” Saka said during the presentation. The school, notably, is also the alma mater of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR.
A native of Ilisan-Remo and son of the late Engineer Adebayo Saka a respected politician and administrator during the military era Mr. Saka emphasized that the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the directive to deliver democratic dividends to grassroots communities.
Describing Saka as a “ray of hope,” parents and staff lauded his consistency and commitment to his roots. The school’s principal remarked, “The cost of new uniforms has been entirely lifted off our shoulders. He hasn’t forgotten his home, despite his busy schedule in Abuja.”
This is not Saka’s first intervention in education-related causes. In previous initiatives, he has provided desks, benches, writing materials, teaching aids, and cash donations to schools in Ilisan, Remo, and Odogbolu, further demonstrating a hands-on approach to supporting educational development.
He pledged to continue supporting his ancestral communities, reiterating his philosophy of “giving back to the society that made you.”
