Zach Orji Commends Tinubu’s Southeast Development Initiatives, Describes Them as Historiec and Transformational

Renowned Nigerian actor and filmmaker Zach Orji has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he describes as unprecedented efforts to address the long-standing infrastructure neglect in Nigeria’s Southeast region.

In a public message addressed to Nigerians, Orji highlighted several major policy and development strides recently taken by the Tinubu administration, marking what he called a new era of “transformation, inclusion, and nationwide connectivity.”

“For the first time since the end of the Nigerian Civil War 55 and a half years ago, a president has established the Southeast Development Commission,” Orji said. The commission, according to him, has been backed by a take-off capital of ₦150 billion and will be accompanied by a Southeast Investment Company to drive economic growth.

Orji also pointed out that the Southeast now holds the federal ministry of works portfolio, currently led by former Ebonyi State governor, Engr. David Umahi. He emphasized Tinubu’s approval of a \$3 billion fund for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the long-neglected Eastern Rail Line corridor, aimed at boosting transport and regional trade.

Quoting the President, Orji stated, *“The era of infrastructure marginalization, isolation, and neglect is over.”* He noted that the Southeast is finally receiving substantial federal attention, aligning with the original post-civil war principles of *reconstruction, rehabilitation, and reconciliation.*

Another key initiative mentioned was the proposed Southeast Superhighway Project, which Orji described as a “landmark legacy” expected to end decades of regional infrastructure deficits.

The actor further expressed his support through biblical references and prayers, saying: *“President Tinubu, well done. We appreciate you big time. May God Almighty continue to keep and guide you.”*

Orji concluded by encouraging Nigerians to be patient and optimistic, stating, *“President Tinubu is fixing Nigeria.”*
