Kebbi Governor Mourns Emir of Gusau, Extends Condolences to Zamfara

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has extended his condolences to the government and people of Zamfara State over the death of the Emir of Gusau, Dr. Ibrahim Bello.
In a condolence message released today, Saturday, 26th July, Governor Idris described the passing of the traditional ruler as a significant loss to the state, the northern region, and the country as a whole. He praised the late Emir’s contributions to peace, unity, and traditional leadership, noting that his legacy would endure.
“The death of the Emir of Gusau, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, is a painful loss to all of us. He was a man of honour who dedicated his life to the service of his people and the promotion of peace and stability in his domain and beyond,” Governor Idris stated.
He offered prayers for the repose of the Emir’s soul and for strength and comfort for his family, the Gusau Emirate Council, and the people of Zamfara State during this difficult time.
Dr. Ibrahim Bello, who ascended the throne in 2015, died in Abuja on Friday at the age of 71 following a prolonged illness. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen traditional institutions and foster harmony in Zamfara and surrounding communities.
